Apple spent $700 million on three failed movies

But Apple isn’t alone in its insane spending spree. According to filings with the California Film Commission, Netflix spent at least $166 million on Zack Snyder’s two-part movie “Rebel Moon.” But that figure reflects only “qualified” spending, which is defined as minimum wages to staffers and payments to vendors and does not include contracts with creators or marketing. The real cost is much higher.
